Comparison Analysis Project
You will need to calculate the financial ratios needed to determine your chosen company’s current financial health.
My companies are Amazon,Walmart and Target.
Once you have calculated these ratios, the results will be used to analyze the business’s current financial position and help them make decisions about how to improve or maintain their financial health. Pay particular attention to working capital management. If liquidity is an issue, consider how the company will meet its short-term obligations.

Write a 2/3 page paper providing your analysis of the ratios for each of your chosen companies and status of the financial health based on the ratio analysis. You will also submit the completed Excel file to accompany your write-up. Essentially summarize it the company is declining or not.
Art History
For this assignment, you are to answer 2 out of the 5 questions. You may choose whichever 2 you would like. In preparing to answer any question, you should create an outline of salient concepts and select works that are exemplary of those points. Whenever you cite a work of art, you should include its title (always italicized), artist/architect and date. Part of your grade depends upon you not only choosing convincing examples that correspond to the concepts you are discussing, but also that you fully describe the pertinent features associated with that work. In other words, it is not sufficient to merely name a work of art without discussing its significance.
Each essay response should be at least 2 single spaced pages (1000 words) and include at least 6 works of art, in a cohesive essay format (ie, introduction, body, conclusion). Please combine both questions into one document for submission. Essays will be graded on content, grammar, spelling, and organization. Each essay will be worth 70 points, with the remaining 10 points reserved for grammar and organization, for a total of 150 points.
1. Why do we distinguish between the Italian Renaissance and the Northern Renaissance? What objectives did they share? What were their respective heritages in regard to visual culture? Cite and analyze specific works to demonstrate your ideas.
2. Discuss the great patrons of the Renaissance in both the North and in Italy. How did art serve their purposes as powerful rulers or families? Describe the regional ‘centers’ of artistic production that were created by the patronage. How does regional art reflect culture and location? Cite and analyze specific works to demonstrate your ideas.
3. Is there a discernible difference between the artistic production associated with the High Renaissance and that which preceded it in Italy? What aspirations changed during the brief period we define as the High Renaissance? Why did this shift occur? Cite and analyze specific works to demonstrate your ideas.
4. Examine the variety of meanings associated with the representations of the human body in Europe between 1200 and 1600. What different traditions and philosophies contributed to the human body being so frequently employed as a symbol? Cite and analyze specific works to demonstrate your ideas.
5. The Christian religion was significantly modified by the scholarly interests of the Renaissance, as well as movements within the church itself (the creation of new orders with innovative objectives). How are these changes in religious thought reflected in the art of Europe between 1200 and 1600? Cite and analyze specific works to demonstrate your ideas.

SCENARIO: Monica and Jennifer are coworkers that have been assigned to work on a project together. Jennifer is very organized and wants her and Monica to do really well on this project. To get started, Jennifer took some initiative and prepared a list of to-do items along with the due dates. She even color-coded the list to indicate who will do which item. Shortly after, Jennifer sends an email to Monica with the to-do list attached. Jennifer wants her partner to know that she is serious about their success.
Monica is happy her teammate has shown initiative but is surprised by Jennifer’s to-do list and feels a bit uncomfortable as she is feeling like Jennifer is micromanaging her. Monica wants to do her part on the project but is feeling anxious because she doesn’t know where she fits in. Monica is worried about working on the project. She wonders if she can succeed in this project since Jennifer is already the leader. Prior to this situation, Monica worked for a separate employer who asked her to work on a similar project. She felt anxious about her ability to successfully complete the project and attempted to communicate her feelings with a co-worker. However, her co-worker didn’t seem to understand Monica’s concerns and said that she should just ignore her feelings and get the work done.
As Monica ponders having a conversation with Jennifer, she starts to feel overwhelmed and thinks it might just be easier to be removed from the project.
ASSIGNMENT: Now, it is time to practice the skills and concepts that you have learned to help your friend Monica navigate through a difficult workplace situation. Using your problem solving and self and social awareness skill, as well as what you have learned about personality traits and emotions, answer the questions in this case study assignment. Remember, you are to help Monica calm her anxiety and find a solution to her problem.

Examining how different cultures are incorporated into a single society can offer insight into the ethnic group relations of that society. There are different ways in which ethnic groups experience assimilation, depending on the ethnic group’s origins in society. Many ethnic groups immigrate to a new country—often fleeing conflict in their home country—to make a better life for themselves and their families. Many ethnic groups perceive the United States as a country with greater economic, political, and social opportunities, and therefore, many immigrate to the country. Conversely, other ethnic groups are considered native or indigenous to a country and contact other ethnic groups through colonization: for example, Native American tribes in North America under British colonization. In both cases, ethnic minorities are expected to assimilate to the culture and behaviors of the majority, dominant group.
In the Final Paper, you will investigate the connection between culture, assimilation, and ethnic relations in society. A spectrum of possibilities exists when considering the degree to which ethnic groups assimilate to mainstream society, from completely adopting the new culture to maintaining their own cultural traditions and differences. Meaningful cultural symbols, such as traditions surrounding food, cooking, and eating, play a role in how ethnic groups both assimilate to new cultural norms and maintain their own unique traditions. They also assist in measuring the degree to which assimilation has occurred.
In your paper, include the following sections/components:
Introduction (two to three pages): Define the concept of assimilation and explain what happens to an ethnic group’s culture when they follow a model of full assimilation, evaluate how the degree to which an ethnic group assimilates contributes to and reinforces existing ethnic hierarchies, and explain if mainstream society is more welcoming to newcomers if they assimilate or if they retain some of their own cultural customs.
Body (about four to five pages): Explain how assimilation differs for ethnic groups that immigrate to a new country versus indigenous ethnic groups and analyze how cultural symbols—such as food—play a role in assimilation. The body of your paper should address the following:
In what ways are immigrant groups expected to assimilate to mainstream culture? Why is assimilation to mainstream culture encouraged? In other words, why are ethnic groups encouraged to adopt the culture of their new home rather than maintain their own cultural traditions?
Describe how the United States government forced the assimilation of Native American children. What purpose did this forced assimilation serve and whom did it benefit? What might today resemble if Native Americans had not been forced to assimilate?
Researchers often measure the degree to which an ethnic group has assimilated by looking at cultural practices: things like food, dress, and language. Explain, using the resources provided, the importance of food as a cultural symbol for ethnic groups. Why might an immigrant group resist adopting to the cultural food norms of the mainstream culture? What strategies do immigrant groups use to overcome this? What do the traditions surrounding food (e.g., who cooks it, how it is prepared and served, when and where it is eaten, etc.) reveal about an ethnic group’s culture? How can food, and the customs surrounding it, facilitate greater peace and understanding between ethnic groups?
Conclusion (two pages): Provide an example of your own ethnic or racial traditions surrounding food. Where did these traditions come from? How far removed are you from your ancestors who first immigrated to this country? If you were to move to a new country today, would you want to maintain these traditions or would you be willing to give them up to assimilate to the customs of your new home? What is another cultural symbol that an ethnic group may want to keep rather than assimilate into mainstream culture? To sum up the Final Paper, why are cultural symbols so important to ethnic groups?
